Committed to S.T.E.M.

East African Community Services is committed to Science, Technology Engineering and Math.

We firmly hold that S.T.E.M. is the future.

Therefore, we work with community partners like Coding for Girls and eMode Foundation to bolster mathematics preparation and confidences in our students.  Through science labs, Summer Robotics and introduction to computer programming opportunities, we embody the following mantra:  Math touches everything!  We are actively seeking opportunities at Amazon, Microsoft and Google (Seattle Campuses) to inspire our student/scholars.  To date, nearly 80% of our Middle School student/scholars aspire towards careers in S.T.E.M. (primarily Engineering, Computer Science and Medicine).

Additionally, we are working to incentivize academic excellence in Math and Science courses for our enrolled populations.  Through our Rising S.T.EM. Scholarships, we hope to provide significant S.T.E.M. immersion opportunities (and first year college financial support) to Middle & High School students excelling in Math and Science.

S.T.E.M. organizations interested in parterning with us, should reach out  to Amir Noir Soulkin, via noir@eastafricancs.org or by phone or 206.721.1119 Ext 104.
