Youth Leadership Council

Youth engagement in our program design, critique and maintenance is a winning strategy.

Our Youth Leadership Council (2022) functions to keep the voice of our student population in the forefront. This keeps our youth engaged while ensuring our programs remain relevant for the very people we are charged with serving.

Youth Involvement increases relevance.

Centering for the voices of young people works simultaneously to acclimate them to leadership while significantly improving youth-engagement in our programs.

Quarterly Meetings

The YLC is convened monthly and is facilitated (over food!) by 5th through 9th grade scholars. YLC members also engage our K-5 babies, laboring to understand their learning journeys and how to make them more fun!
